Akins' comment was actually a mainstream argument in pro-abortion circles and if he would have been supported by the GOP publicly the public would have heard him clearly -- unfortunately we don't have the "circle the wagons" mentality that democrats do -- one thing we SHOULD cultivate, not the "throw them under the bus" because we don't want to be ridiculed by the lame media -- well, we won't win any popularity contests with the lame media, so STOP TRYING.... just get our message out there any way we can!!!
