By your reply, you actually support my point. You say the 1st amendment would protect any "clergyman who's bigoted enough to think gay marriage is morally wrong." So a clergyman believing ssm is morally wrong is a "bigot to you. Not someone with just different beliefs than you, but a bigot. In parts of Canada, private religious schools are told by the government that they cannot teach that homosexuality is morally wrong. Tht is what I fear, and what I sense is inevitable.
