This is EXACTLY why we lost. First of all, millions of Americans voting for Obama are not receiving Welfare unless you include Veteran's benefits, Medicare, and Medicaide. Secondly, I have been a Republican for 40 years and it is only in the last 4 years have I gotten the impression that the Rush limbauhs of this world want the American economy to fail in order to increase the probability that we will win. I dont want us to succeed if the reason is that America fails. But I have heard the glee in the voices of the ultra right everytime there is an economic problem. Conservatives can win without that stuff. We do not make ourselves look taller by cutting off the heads of our competitors. We have lost sight of who we are.
