So right! If this Obamination goes thru it will usher in something we have not seen before in this country. Soviet style one party rule. From what I've observed over many years, especilly the trend away from personal responsibility, fiscal responsibility, and unbelievable refusal to face reality and do any of the the obvious, intelligent things that would be necessary to get back on solid ground, not to mention the insistence on believing in wishful, magical thinking, I have to conclude that we are in for a very rough time from here on. Obama is a dangerous charlatan, yes. But a charlatan cannot operate without a sucker who can be taken in. Hitler made a scapegoat of the Jews and that was his vehicle to power. Obama and the radical left...

Duh, it's a metaphor, coopmeister. Wake up, don't be a zombie. It never was about health care; it's about POWER, and how to keep it in perpetuity.

Obama is the new Jim Jones, only we are all being forced to drink the Kool-Aid, not just his walking dead zombie followers

So right, I fear. Their ducks are lined up and the rest is a show. This is like watching a train wreck...My hope now is that, bolstered by their victory and completely drunk on power, they will overreach so egregiously that people will finally see what they are really doing, rise up in their wrath, throw them out and repeal their socialist programs. Is thet naive?
I fear we have become a feckless people, and what is happening is merely a reflection of that. How long have we all accepted the lies from both sides and refused to acknowledge, let alone act on, the cold realities that have been facing us for years? We haven't had the courage to face our situatin squarely, roll up our sleeves, and undertake the tremendous work and sacrifices that would be necessary to set things right. Even Reagan couldn't succeed in his quest to reduce government and had to settle for foreigh policy success. The cultural trends away from personal resonsibility, away from the core concept of the importance of the individual, coupled with the insanity of political corectness, has finally done us in.
Here's the thing in a nutshell: Entitlements are the way to expansion of governmental power. That's all this has ever been about. Pelosi is a radical and this heath care scam is the vehicle she and her ilk are using to finally grab enough power to force all of us into irreversible dependency on government. I fear it is too late, we have become the sort of people who refuse to accept responsibility for our own lives, but the cost is dear: our freedom.

If this goes thru, there will be no limits anymore. If anyone thinks Reid and company are drunk on power now, try to imagine how they will behave going forward if they prevail. They were never kidding about "transforming" America. It will not be recognizable when they are through. This is exactly how freedom is lost. A heartbreaking tragedy, but we will have sold it for the chance to have someone take care of us. If that is the case, then we must muster the determination to win it back at any cost. We have been living in a dream world where no one ever has to pay the piper. This is the result, unfolding before our eyes.
