Liberal Obsession With Race is Growing Old

Sure, there are racists in the Republican Party. (There are some in the Democratic Party, too.) Are you kidding me? The Democrat party IS the racist party. Their policies deliberately destroy the black culture and family in order to get their votes in exchange for free stuff. It is an historic fact that the KKK's was rooted in the Democrat party.

That's so ridiculous it isn't even credible.

No matter that conservative policies disproportionately damage the black community every time you turn around because if their callousness toward poverty. Look at the voting percentages. It's no accident that minorities do t vote Republican. And it's not because they are too "stupid" or uneducated to rep their own interests, which is another Republican view that is overtly racist.

Hopefully your post is not an attempt at sarcasm because it just doesn't make sense. Conservative principle is basically an attempt to make people self sufficient contributors to society. Democrats speak to "fairness", but this is just their plan to give the poor and near poor just enough to keep them on the government teat. This is how Democrats survive politically, so you're correct that it's not an accident that minorities do not vote Republican. 95% of blacks voted for Obama. Is that racist? And do you think this policy helps the black/minority community? If so, please explain 4 generations dependent on government handouts. And BTW I didn't call anyone stupid, but I do believe inner city kids are uneducated due to liberal policies.

Since you put stupid in quotes I assume that you are quoting someone. Who?

man of steel-I am an Old, White retired Mlitary male who happens to be married to a Non-White for 40+ years. I've never found RACISM to be a factor (a minor one) in our Marriage and/or community living. But I can/do agree with you that the "4 generations dependent on Government handouts" is painfully TRUE in many States, such as WV with a very tiny BLACK Population but a horrendous number of Whites who gave up working when LBJ instituted the infamous "Great Society". There is NOTHING "Great" about life-long dependency on ANYTHING/anyone. Racism is a very weak crutch irregardless of Color!

Some (myself included) perhaps incorrectly use "quotes" as a not very good substitute for the ability to italicize a word for emphasis. I'm very sorry that offends U! NOT REALLY!

"....callousness toward poverty." ----- If you want to make any sense you need to realize that socialism itself is callousness toward poverty. Detroit was 1.6 million people in 1960. The population is now about half that, or less. Has that city been run by Republicans for the last 50 years, or Democrats (socialists) ?

For that matter, look at ANY basket case city in this country----- has that city been run by Republicans for the last 50 years, or Democrats (socialists) ?

Get your history fixed wtmoore. The biggest opponents to the civil rights movement were Democrats.

Facts do not matter to him or her.

When will liberals stop living in the past? Specifically, when will they accept that they aren't all that stands between a wonderful, tolerant America and Jim Crow?

I was in the room when, during the Democratic convention, civil rights hero John Lewis suggested that Republicans wanted to "go back" to the days when black men like him could be beaten in the street by the enforcers of Jim Crow. I thought it an outrageous and disgusting bit of demagoguery. The audience of Democratic delegates cheered in a riot of self-congratulation.

It's bizarre. I spend most of my time talking...
