Pacifism does not produce peace -- it merely emboldens aggressors. The most effective deterrent to a bully is a strong man, ready and willing to punch his lights out if crosses the line. Don't know yet about Romney, but Obama is clearly on the side of appeasing and placating the bullies of the world -- and they are in turn behaving true to their nature, more and more aggressively. These misguided notions of liberal peaceniks are leading us down the path to an assured large scale, brutal and bloody war. There is a tipping point where the war preparations of the world's bullies can be turned back, but we are rapidly approaching the point of no return. Like never before we need a leader in the White House. I hope and pray Romney is that man.

Who would have thought that God and Jerusalem would become controversial issues at this year's Democratic National Convention?

Previous Democratic Party platforms had mentioned God and referred to Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. After both were initially missing from this year's platform, someone apparently realized that this was likely to raise questions about Democrats that they could ill afford to have raised in an election year.

So the convention faced a vote on whether to restore God and Jerusalem to their party's platform. Rather than risk a roll-call vote from the delegates, the chair called for a voice...
