The utopian ideal of everyone living in carefree bliss does not happen on Earth. Every attempt to establish such societies not only fails, but results to the cruelest abuse and even murder of vast segments of the populations subjected these schemes. Barack Obama is not your or anyone else's savior. He's more like the Pied Piper Of Hamelin. The difficulties and challenges of life are best tackled head-on with courage and personal responsibility -- not by relegating them to a , seemingly benevolent or otherwise. Portraying business or the profit motive as evil simply indicates a lack of understanding of how life works -- and how it doesn't. We all have our strengths and faults, rich and poor alike.

From all this, and much else that is said in the media and on the campaign trail, you might think that the economy requires government intervention to revive and create jobs. It is Beltway dogma that the government has to "do something."
