Obama, Race and Affirmative Action: Why the Second Term Will Be Worse (Part II)

These two articles are very disturbing. The real target of these AA people is the Rule of Law itself. I wish every American over 18 was required to read Hayek's book, "The Road to Serfdom." If you haven't read it, go to the library and just read the chapter about the Rule of Law. These socialists/communists must get rid of the Rule of Law in order to realize their utopian paradise. Along with the demise of the Rule of Law, we'll get inferior doctors, dentists, lawyers, engineers, teachers and, definitely, inferior leaders and politicians, even worse than we have now. And where will this quest for equality of outcomes stop? Should we throw acid in the faces of beautiful people so the homely will feel better?

Is every black applicant inferior? Don't urban areas need more doctors? Just increase class sizes to accommodate a few percent more students. These lower tier doctors could work in emergency rooms and "free" clinics under a government medical program and thus relieve hospitals of the expense and liability.

d7"Just increase class sizes to accommodate a few percent more students" might, and I emphasize "MIGHT" be manageable, but if such accommodation could be implemented, then the next "tinkering" would likely be "let's lower the admissions by X degree", and so forth into total oblivion! No! No! No! We have made more than enough "set-asides" deferments, exception to rules; NO MORE--You want "one size fits all" OK U got it!! What?? iT DOESN'T FIT? WHO WOULD HAVE "thunk" that?

Should we lop off the feet of tall people so the short people feel better? Read Oleg Atbashian's great little book, "Shakedown Socialism," to see what else is coming if we continue to allow all this nonsense. We have come to a point where the only solution is secession by the conservative states. Leave all the far-left politicians, union people, media people, Hollywood scumbags, the entire LGBT sector, the environmentalists, all welfare recipients, and every other progressive person or group to their own devices while we conservatives get back to governing according to God's law and the Constitution and the Rule of Law, and see which society prospers and flourishes. There is no doubt about which society would be the stronger.

The last thing we need is secession. This is still a great and workable nation. And you simply can't put everyone in one political boat. And let's suppose after creating your secessionist, you decide to expel those not conforming. Is that what you want? Deport or imprison anyone suspected of liberal sentiments? Do you really want absolute political homogeneity? The result would be boring...and totalitarian.

Editor's Note: This is part II in a series. Part I can be found here.

The executive branch isn’t the only arena in which the Obama affirmative action crusade will be felt over the next four years. The legislative branch, too, offers manifold opportunities for mischief. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (P.L. 111-148), or “Obamacare,” for example, offers a generous supply of tripwire. Section 5301, which defines criteria for federal aid to medical schools, contains a subsection, “Priorities in Making Awards.” It states: “The Secretary [of Health and Human Services] shall give priority to qualified...
