Thank God I live here in TEXAS -were most people understand Firearms and if they do not own one they do not condemn you for owning one -as they usually have a close family member or friend who has one and understands why you do -not unusual at all -and gun shootings are extremely low all around -you will never be able to control the cheap Saturday Night Specials that are sold everywhere for $ 50-100 Bucks a pop you now the ones that have killed about 400 Chicago youth just this year alone and yet There has been no Task Force for them -Heck they had 30 shot or killed just last Memorial weekend alone -where is the outrage for them ?
It's too hard to try and make sense of a senseless event. Adam Lanza's merciless slaughter in Connecticut has forced everyone with a microphone to insist we have a "national conversation" about why this happens.

But this urgent need to talk is not an excuse for a reckless discussion. Sadly, that is where we're headed, with pundits hysterical, naive or both.
