The usurpation of the States cannot be reversed until the 17th Amendment is repealed. Anyone who preaches the 'shrinking of the federal government' and ignores this is ignorant (at best) or a liar. By the way, the other problem in the general election of Senators is that large urban areas are able to outvote the (usually) more conservative rural areas.

There is a reason dictatorial regimes labeled themselves as 'democratic'; mob rule, the rule of 'King Numbers', is a destroyer of freedom, not its safeguard. Would that the tea-party movement begin an effort to repeal the notorious 17th amendment!
Obama's economic philosophy is that of National Socialism. As for the lack of genocide, what would one call the millions of unborn dead?
