My father, born in 1918, liked FDR. My grandfather, born in 1896, hated him. I think there was a generational thing going on then, just like there has been in our time

Hoover Dam: Worst Investment in History

The dam was authorized in '28, construction was started in '31, during Hoover's term in office. All FDR did was show up at the end, like Nixon taking credit for the moon landing. Irregardless of your your opinion of the New Deal, and I think Bad Deal would be a better name, the dam predated it. Why is this important? It shows that Republicans are just as bad as Democrats at fouling things up.

Think it would take that long? As long as people act like sheep, nothing will happen. Let an organization with a large, national constituency even propose a boycott with a target date for it's start and see what happens

How about boycotting all air travel until the TSA is done away with? How long do you think it would take for the airlines to squeal like a sow whose piglets were being taken away? And how long do you think Congress would take to rectify the situation? Latest figures show you are 8 times as likely to be killed by a police officer than by a terrorist. Do you live your life in constant fear of the police? I do not subscribe to the conspiracy theories blaming the Government for 9/11, but I do believe it has been cashing in on it, using fear tactics to gain more and more control on the peoples everyday lives
