Your suggestion is despicable because it is demonstrably false. In fact, we had so-called "sensible" gun control for 10 years in the form of the Clinton-passed ban on assault weapons (sic) and large capacity magazines. The Justice Department determined that crime did not drop as a result of the ban and crime did not go up as a result of the ban expiring. Similarly, it can be (and has been repeatedly) shown that access to guns by law abiding citizens is consistent with reductions in violent crime while restrictions of same go hand-in-hand with increases in violent crime (just look at the UK as well as DC, Chicago, etc vs Virginia, Kennesaw GA, etc). Bloomberg and other politicians that are calling for a repeat of this "sensible" gun control

You are not a citizen of the United States, and therefore your comments regarding our rights are of no value what-so-ever. Put that in your crack pipe and smoke it, and yes you do have a firearms problem in all of your eastern big cities ask the RCMP about how effective your latest gun registry program has been.

No teacher in Canada carries a gun and no students have been killed in the past 20 years. Prior to that, there was one (1) shooting in Montreal. You are six times more likely to be killed in the USA than in Canada, and thirty (30) times more likely than in the UK. We are not violent societies, you are.

By the way, a school district in Texas has allowed teachers to carry guns since 2007. Nobody has shot up any of those schools, not even those silly teachers with guns.

The British writer-philosopher C. S. Lewis wrote, “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under Omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”

The tragic events at Sandy Hook brought out the instant conscious of the liberal. While hundreds of parents were living the moment...
