There seems to be some confusion about executive orders. The president, as chief executive, has the power to issue binding orders to executive branch departments and agencies, so long as they do not conflict with the law. We have seen this president issue orders that have the effect of changing the law. Now will we see the president try to issue orders binding on the People? If he does, maybe the House will finally have the stomach to consider impeachment. Good bad or indifferent though the president's wants and desires may be, he must - any president must - be held accountable to the Constitution and the People.
