Whole Foods CEO: “I Made a Poor Word Choice” in Describing ObamaCare as Fascism

He is walking it back because all of his customers are bleeding heart liberals that love obamey and they loves them some ORGANIC spinach. Have you been to whole foods - what a scam - I only eat organic myself - I eat nothing grown on Mars or Jupiter - only organic to the earth. These customers are stupid as anything grown organically is of the worst quality. But you pay more for it. Try to grow a nice tomatoe without weed or bug control in chemical form...can not be done.

Very true. If you have ever been to a Whole Foods, you understand the truth of this statement. The surprise is that Mackey ever uttered a word about Obamacare at all. His customers are deep blue in color. He is walking his word choice back for profit reasons. But, in the end, he was right. Obamacare (and this administration) is fascism. "Fascism - a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition." Does this not describe our current political environment better than socialism?

I am always astonished when Mackey states the obvious truth.

Of course he has to retract - which rather proves his point - and yours.

If you were a member of the Democrat elite you could afford Whole Foods and would not be growing your own tomatoes.

You know - like a teacher. ;)

In an interview with NPR, Whole Foods CEO John Mackey drew a lot of attention—and criticism—by comparing ObamaCare to “fascism.” He said, "Socialism is where the government owns the means of production. In fascism, the government doesn’t own the means of production, but they do control it—and that’s what’s happening with our health care programs and these reforms.” Now, he’s walking back the controversial statement even though his feelings about the health care law haven’t changed. On CBS This Morning, Mackey said it was “a bad choice of words” because it has an association with dictatorships in the 20th century....
