Democrats are claiming President Obama's reelection victory as proof of a mandate. Perhaps we should take a moment to reflect on the fact that the combined vote totals of the candidates is roughly equal to the number of citizens who were so disenchanted with the political parties and process they chose not to vote. So if a mandate exists what precisely is the mandate for? More of the same? We should also reflect on the fact that since President Obama's election the one industry that's been (pardon the pun) booming is the firearms industry. What exactly has the president done to fulfill his promise of a bringing together, a healing? With more mass killings during his term in office than any other what is, if anything, his responsibility?

At least half of our society's troubles come from know-it-alls, in a world where nobody knows even 10 percent of all.

Some people seem to think that, if life is not fair, then the answer is to turn more of the nation's resources over to politicians --...
