Yes, of course Obama is willing to go over the fiscal cliff. For Democrats it's a win-win. By allowing all the tax cuts to expire they’ll get a revenue gusher to re-distribute to their favorite crony clients AND they’ll be able to blame the Republicans for the bad. Obama will use his rock star status, a bully pulpit, and a compliant, fawning media to further discredit and destroy a hapless GOP that is leaderless and in disarray. Never mind that all this revenue will be coming from an already strapped middle-class, unemployment will spike and the stock market tank. There’s no price too high to achieve the Left’s dream of a socialist utopia.

Yes there will be revenues, but they will come from the broader base of lower brackets, what democrats used to call tax cuts for the rich, but which weren't. He will then call for those increases on lower brackets to be restored and he will blame the Republicans for the stagnation. But he won't take yes for an answer either as his goal is to destroy the Republican party. If we go over the fiscal cliff, which is really just a mole hill, there will be minor cuts which is good and the Republicans will demonstrate backbone, won't be destroyed and will be in a stronger position come debt ceiling increase battles. They should call his bluff.

If Republicans will not go along with tax hikes on the wealthy, then Geithner Willing To Go Over Fiscal Cliff.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said Wednesday that the Obama administration was willing to allow the economy to go over the fiscal cliff if Republicans did not agree to raise tax rates on the wealthy....
