What an idiotic column. Entergy (the power source for NOLA) gets most of its power from natural gas. The "green initiatives" that Pavlich seems to hate are energy efficiency measures, they have nothing to do with power source. She is really scraping the bottom here.

If you watched the Super Bowl last night then you noticed the 35-minute long power outage that happened right in the middle of the game. But it wasn't the weather that caused the power outage, rather a lack of power feeding into the stadium.
