I'll be happy to forfeit my 'free' bussing to private school when I get that tax rebate. Until then, I'll make sure my kids get that free bussing whether we actually use it or not.

If you live in a state where doctors pay the highest malpractice insurance rates, that might help explain why your doctor is practicing defensive medicine.

Why 'True Consensus' is Against Obama

Odell, the top 2% of wage earners are the ones who pay the lion's share of the taxes and make the country work. We also make it possible for the rest of yo homies and babymammas to collect da welfare. It's the Senate Democrats who cater to the super rich - the billionaires and multi-millionaires who no longer earn a wage. See, these lucky folks earned their money when their businesses were less shackled, and now expect the Democrats to stifle their competition with red tape and high taxes.

Give Scott Brown a Break, OK?

was the first thought that came to mind when I heard that Brown was likely to vote 'Y'.

Is the Big Dig a make-work, never-ending project that no MA official will ever vote against?
because the Jewish & Christian Bibles caution against a 'do-it-if-it-feels-good mentality. Like Sodom and Gemorrah, cities like San Francisco are "unsustainable".

Can he duke it out with the media? I hope he has the good sense to make his first national appearances on FOX. Others will try to sink him with trick questions a la Couric-Palin fiasco. They'll press Daniels on their pet social issues, and if he's not depraved enough, they'll Quayle him, and move mountains in search of one tiny morsel of hypocrisy to exploit. I hope he's up to it.
not the religious. The Orthodox read Hebrew daily, and fully understand Torah.

Secular Jews do not learn Torah. Instead, they embrace the torah of liberalism, and think they're being good Jews for it!

To fully understand this perplexing and sad phenomenon, read 'Why Jews Are Liberal' by Norman Podhoretz. It connects the dots rather well.
I'm truly bummed that they've jumped on a bandwagon with loose wheels.

Apple, your products are hip, but your politics are so... last year.
does an excellent job connecting the dots, and is a 'must read' for those who cannot fathom the American Jewish adherence to the Democrat Party.

In MY nutshell, being an Orthodox Jew is extremely difficult. There are thousands of laws to follow; then there is persecution. Karl Marx, an 'intellectual', offered an alternative. When Marxism eventually proved itself flawed, Jews embraced every other -ism except Judaism. Classical liberalism was the best viable alternative, and Jews clung to this new 'religion' for dear life. Most didn't see that it was morphing into something that was the antithesis of Judaism. Why? Most American Jews attend synagogue only 4x a year, don't read Hebrew, and have no idea what their beautiful Torah...
