You are very very wrong about the meaning of the Second Amendment. It has absolutely ZERO to do with making sure the citizenry is prepared to fight in a militia for the government. If the government wants you to fight they will provide you with the weaponry with which to do so.

The Second Amendment was to insure that your government COULD NOT impart a totalitarian control over its citizens. It grants you, the citizen, the right to protect yourself from the government.

There is a reason the power of the government was so limited when set forth in the constitution by our founding fathers.
