I really, really don't understand the requirement for unfettered support of Israel. We need to let this part of the world fend for itself- we have plowed trillions of dollars and thousands of lives in aid and wars in the middle east for zero gain. I can only imagine how much better off we would have been reinvesting those dollars into the economy.

We should support Israel as a free country, but like every other free country in the world we should evaluate their positions with the interests of our own. The Right demands more blind subservience to Israel's policies than Israeli citizens face. It's the height of absurdity and I'm glad the Obama administration is pushing against it.

Simp[le, they are a free country in the middle of a tyrannical nest of dictatorships who have been taught from birth that Israel is theirs and the jews are nothing but apes etc..per Morsi, Barry's dearest friend in the Mid east. Doesn't matter that GOD gave the Hebrews, (Israels ancestors) that land and a lot more than they have now..and many of us believe God's word, and He promised Abraham He would bless those who Bless him and Curse those who Curse Abraham (i..e his descendants). We are suffereing because of the politicians have been after Israel since it's birth in 1948. Thank GOD we had leaders who knew the TRUTH and stopped it. Now we have a Jew hating muslim infiltrated in our W H, a fraud with a string of felonies trying to

destroy the U S from the inside, which happens to be the ONLY true ally of Israel; and using his ill gotten power to help ring Israel with enemies with powerful weapons in his stupid effort to prove to the demonic world how to go about destroying Israel. Ain't gonna work and anymore than it did when Pharoah of Exodus tried it.

That was a string of barely comprehensible conspiracy theories with patently false accusations with no supporting evidence. In other words, on par for the Tea Party contingent!

At the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) Conference in 2008, then-Senator Obama stood before thousands of pro-Israel Americans and declared what appeared to be support for Israel. He explained that “the bond between Israel and the United States is rooted in more than our shared national interest; it’s rooted in the shared values and shared stories of our people.”

As the only beacon of democracy in the Middle East and the one unique example of a country in the region that allows freedom of speech and religion—as well as women’s rights—Israel has long been one of the U.S.’s strongest...
