A government is best which governs least. We are supposed to be a nation of FREE people, able to generally govern ourselves. The government was instituted to protect our God given rights and the defend the nation from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. We've degraded to the point now where too many people think freedom is all about tatoos, body piercings, foul language, sleeping with whomever, whenever, and wherever, and being owed a minimum amount of compensation, with benefits, for doing even menial labor tasks. And they want the government to give them the things that their life styles will not earn for them in the free marketplace of economics and ideas.

The grotesque spectacle of the State of the Union address, with its lengthy receiving line of adoring sycophants, demonstrates why the President is operating under the delusion that he is more than just our President. Like him, many people seem to fundamentally misunderstand his role. He’s not our “leader,” or our “ruler,” or our national “daddy,” no matter what his adoring fan, comic Chris Rock, thinks.
