Bill Maher is channeling Michael Medved - almost word for word!
Henry Blackaby once wrote: "While we see the spiritual darkness around us, we do not recognize that the greater problem is with the light! Light dispels darkness! Jesus said that His disciples are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14-16). " If we want Google to change honor and revere Jesus Christ. If we want to see our institutions to reflect the Christian view of God's inerrant and infallible Word - the Bible - then we, Believers, NEED TO BE THE LIGHT. We need to fear nothing and witness to all - at the check out, at the toll booth, to our neighbors, in the work place, 24/7/365 in love and with kindness, compassion, and patience. "For the Son of Man came to seek and save the lost." We the light are at fault - NOT the darkness.
The point is not whether Chavez is worthy or not of having Google recognize him. It is whether Jesus the Christ, THE MAN who has had, without question, the single greatest impact on human life and civilization, FAR better deserves Google's acknowledgment. Jesus Christ has not only turned the world upside down for the better but He, through His life, death, and resurrection, has made a way to the perfect place in the life yet to come! Today is Chavez's birthday. Today is Jesus re-birthday! Hallelujah!
We wouldn't want to loosen alcohol consumption laws in a way that would encourage greater use why would we want to do the exact same thing by legalizing marijuana?

At conception the baby is fully human - DNA proves that. He or she is just at a different stage of development. None of us look the way we did at birth or at 12 or at 22 or at 52 or 92. At conception I was fully me - just at an early stage of infancy. Location shouldn't matter either in a mommy or out of a mommy.

Another clarion call to action for the Body of Christ to wake up and begin to pray in earnest for a national revival and third great awakening! We must begin to witness and live for Christ proclaiming the only hope this country and world has - Jesus Christ crucified for me; for you and risen defeating death! If God would have mercy on us once again we would see the scales fall from the eyes of all those who promote what is evil as good. They would turn 180 degrees in their opinions - then we would see God glorified in our families, personal relationships, schools, businesses, entertainment, culture, and government.

I agree. Actually - go further - there is nothing worthwhile or morally uplifting on tv - turn it off and never turn it back on.
Interesting how the actor plays the character like so many actors have portrayed Satan over the years in movies and tv shows. Wow is this ... it is so... I ... words can't express. Ughh...
The referendum votes that legalized gay marriage in three states and recreational use of pot should be a wake-up call to born again Christians that we need to be more purposeful in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and bathing that life changing message in the Fruits of the Spirit and prayer 24/7/365 with our family, our friends, our neighbors, in our work places, and wherever we step foot. We need to be in persistent prayer for Awakening and Revival to sweep this nation. Those votes show us the place we are spiritually in regard to our faith in Jesus Christ and the inerrancy of His living Word.
