There's a simpler method, eliminate open primaries and the winner take all way that delegates are allotted. Romney would've won the nomination in 2008 if it weren't for the winner take all states.

Now with the advent of early voting, why can't primaries be in like 3 days...each of the states vote within a 3 day period. This waiting until the primary gets to your state when you live in one of the last states is awful.

Memorandum to the GOP: When running an election campaign it is often valuable to select a nominee who represents the rank and file of the Party. This is how other Parties do it. Perhaps you might get on board.
