Sue her in civil court? With what money? And even if he wins .... he gets ... what? And, is it likely she'll appear in the state when summoned? Just askin' - think it through.

Seriously, I totally agree with Ann on this. You intentionally "spill" (read: pour) wine on MY wife, and I'm going to punch you out - and I don't care if your have 2 X chromosomes or an X,Y. But, Ann is also right, wherein if you hit a coward their first reaction is to LIE about it and play the victim. It would help if the police would take it seriously and step in - or NOT step in when the person who starts it gets popped in the mouth. Just give me a single standard so I know what to expect. It's the double standards that not only allow this to happen, but ENCOURAGE it to happen.
Yea I agree. I mean : "Get the recovery right before you get in this deficit-cutting mode," - yea, because once the economy magically heals itself, they are SO going to be ALL ABOUT cutting programs that get them elected to office .... right? This is simply a DELAYING tactic. "Let's study this" or "Hey, Let's appoint a committee to examine this" or any other excuse. I'm a simple man - and to me it's simple: You got a friend who is spending like crazy. They are in debt but addicted to credit cards. When you and your family intervene, they tell you "First let me get a few more items, THEN we can talk about cutting up my credit cards. I'll meet you back here on Friday with the cards and scissors." Would you believe them? Of...
And pointing to bad behavior of the one who came before you is a "solution" only in Washington. Remember - BHO came in promising a SOLUTION. You're seriously stuck in the "blame Bush" mantra ..... 3 years into your guy's term? Really? That's the best response you have? "Blame Bush"? Wow.
Not that I'm advocating such - but notice what neither Libs or Repubs offer as a new tax: A Tax on EXISTING wealth. Ya know, say 5% of all existing wealth would hurt the ALL classes of people, but especially the RULING class. And we can't have THAT, now can we?
The stimulus ..... "worked". Seriously? No, seriously!? In what way did it "work" except to PERPETUATE the problems that caused the financial meltdown? Freddie and Fannie put on gov't subsidized fiscal support and to open the gov't (PEOPLE's MONEY) coffers with a revolving (never to be paid back) credit line. Oh, yea, that'll enforce fiscal discipline. /snark. Or All those campaign contributors who got fat gov't checks to "stimulate" the economy - who didn't HIRE anyone? Or our unemployment rate that went up? Do please tell us, o-genius-o-mine, who it helped? Wow - stuck in an ideological ditch without the ability to see outside the windshield are we?

America's New Racists

When I attended college in the early 90's I was set upon by a group of blacks who felt I owed them an apology for some OTHER white guy (who I did not know, nor was connected to in any way) called one of the the "N" word. I refused and ended up in a melee with 3 of them. Luckily, one of them pushed me towards a doorway and allowed me a tactical retreat. When I reported this to the college they asked me to "let it go" because "we don't want to have a racial incident occur because of this". They didn't want to inflame racial tensions and have a racial incident. As the time I was politically naive and did not respond how I should have. That being: "Um, you already HAD a racial incident, and I was the victim of a hate crime." Now,...
Also - keep in mind - that court cases take YEARS to get to the Supreme Court - when her lawyers made their case to the Supremes, they subborned perjury about the case. Think about this: were they ever held accountable? Is that part of the story ever told in the "grand saga" of Roe v. Wade when it's taught? Isn't this just SLIGHTLY relevent? If proof was ever needed, and it's not, that the press is liberal in both sensibility and presentation: how come Roe v. Wade's story is never told? They just skip the whole story and go to the "ends justify the means" "happy" ending. I gotta be honest - I despise liars and hypocrites - and sometimes I get so angry at the constant barrage of outright LIES our press and our educators tell us...

Um, Amy - do we find the Rapist's children and kill them too? I mean, those are his children. So is the unborn baby. He/She didn't rape anyone. And the whole PC "victimized by the male" thing .... wow. Drink the feminist dehumanizing stereotype Kool-aid much? If a woman who is raped and has a child due to that flips out 10 years later and kills that child .... is it a crime? What about 5 years later? A crime? What about 5 months after birth - kills the baby? A crime? How about 1 month before birth .... that's different how? The CHILD did not commit the crime: the rapist did. Give it some thought.

Ahhh the "Hindsight makes me look clever" argument. Maybe GWB would have overturned that law - maybe he would not. When he was elected, just like BHO, he had his priorities and his political capital was limited in how he spent it. Arguing NOW that he should have had some pre-cog ability to know the attack was coming is .... well, just dumb. Epic fail.
