We owe all poor people a place in our nation, for it is anyone's right to enter our borders and set up camp. Likewise, since we have exploited all people of the world, we owe them a living, free of charge. And only a narrow minded bigot eschews diversity, so when such people come to the US, we should encourage them to retain their old culture and despise the alien American ways. With our new tent city nation, we will have a citizenry that has been raised to appreciate totalitarian governmental rule. This will enable the politically gifted to dictate without interference from dissenters, which will be best for the common class since our rulers always make better decisions that we could ever make for ourselves.

In the arts, academic and entertainment communities, and national press corps, conservatives were rarely seen or heard. It was Liberalism's Hour, with America awash in misty memories of Camelot and great expectations of the Great Society to come in 1965.
