I understand what you are saying, and agree only in part with what Lilly has stated in her posts. I do feel social security and Medicare are important programs that should be kept but corrected. The government has, in large part, made them into giant Ponzi schemes by giving entitlements to people who never paid into them or are not even citizens.

Immigrants need only get on a boat from Cuba, Haiti, or cross our souther border to seek benefits. How about the "border babies" issue, with the only requirement for citizenship being that they were born (of illegal immigrant parents) in an American hospital (for free).

For me, I think it ended a time when I found politics and politicians in general to be extremely depressing, and I did not believe there was anyone, Republican or Democrat, who actually had the good of the country and it's people at heart. I am so very tired and sick of this congress and presidency. He does the opposite of what the American majority wants on almost ALL issues. Healthcare, amnesty, bailouts, the list goes on and on. The message I have gotten is they don't give a hoot what the American people want.

By all means, lets' not have volunteers ruining this land and our neighborhoods by doing work that could just as easily be screwed up by card-carrying Union members or even illegal aliens! What a shame. Our pioneer ancestors must be rolling over in their graves. This Great Country was built on neighbors helping each other for free, without Union Organizers!

I can hardly read about this stuff anymore. How can this pork and special favors for a select few (bribery) be coming from our Federal Government? If two thirds of us do not want this, why isn't something done to stop it? I am the only one completely loosing faith in our Government on any level?
