The Shutdown's Silver Lining

"Ah, sixth grade. But I am restrained from any observation about youthful folly, because millions of adults agree with this kid." Too true, and sadly so. The day of the shut was replete with soundbites of "adults" whining about not being able to see Ellis Island or some other landmark, as if their vacation trumped the nation's future. A mass of the adult citizenry is actually still infantile in its thinking, a condition that suits the Left just fine, providing them as it does with dependent constituents who don't mind living in their parents' basement under their insurance until they're 26. These people then grow up to be the Ellis Island whiners and worse, the politicians who do throw infantile temper tantrums such as the barricading of the WWII memorial.

Are you guys kidding. When my daughter was 26, I was 51, why would I want to pay through insurance for her pregnancy. At 26 she was out on her own, let her pay for it. Any self respecting 22-26 year old would not ask!!

This was really just a payoff to the young to ensure that they voted for Obooboo the second time.

Not so much adults "whining", as adults having valid complaints that they were robbed by the government of the goods and services for which they paid.

Those museums, parks, monuments, and memorials were bought and paid for by citizen's and tax payers. They belong to all of us, not to some faceless administrator in the OMB, or his overlord in the Oval Office. The fact is, many of those memorials, such as the WWII, and the Wall, are totally open to the public, with no barriers to entry; until the Obama Administration CONTRACTED to have barriers put in place and HIRED additional park police to stop people from entering. Where there was no cost to allowing people into those memorials, there was now a considerable cost to stealing their access from them.

High crimes and misdemeanors indeed. That along is justification to impeach B. Hussein Obama.

This is not some faceless bureaucrat closing venues without precedent. This
is the damn fool in the White House. Every democrat should rue the day they
opted to go with their feelings and abandon common sense to vote for this moron. Nothing else explains a vote for a lying narcissist who never did anything for himself or anyone else.
