As we all know, talk is cheap (especially in the District of Columbia), but the President made it a point to reiterate that he will veto any proposal that increases the federal deficit "even a penny", he got boos from Democrat members of congress with his comments on the need for tort reform, he went out of his way to reassure seniors that Medicare would not be touched, and he firmly stated that abortions would not be funded by the federal government, nor would illegal immigrants under his health care reform proposal.
