Meh; the NRA is impotent - they can't scare people anymore.

How impotent?

About as impotent as you are when faced with an armed criminal about to rape you?

they scare people like you into buying more guns because the NRA has always been about the gun makers, not the gun owners.

I have owned guns for over 60 years..carried them as a SEAL, carried them as a hunter...Was never a member of the NRA until 4 years ago. I do not panic easily, nor do I get undully alarmed. I am very good at reading signs, though, and reading between the lines. You need to learn to do that, Lois. May make youre life a bit less frenetic. And you can look at yourself in the mirror, also, and maybe proud of what you see..

The NRA’s statement about the meeting confirms that that White House was never interested in having an honest, inclusive debate about how to prevent tragedies like Newtown from happening again, but rather, is focused on its “agenda to attack the Second Amendment.”
