Unions falsely CLAIM to have been responsible for many worker benefits that were actually offered first by employers simply seeking good workers, such as 8 hour days/40 hour weeks, H/C benefits (to women during WWII), paid vacation, etc.

I understand a lot of the benefits originated during war time (either WW1 or WW2, not sure which) when the gubmint made it illegal for companies to offer higher wages to attract or keep employees. Companies offered benefits instead of wages and we were off to the races. Look where this seemingly innocent gubmint involvement in business has brought us to today. Good work guys.

Alarm bells are going off for labor unions around the country.

Four years after electing the most pro-labor president of the last half-decade, it looks like the scheme has backfired.
