re: "No regulation or reform can undo all homicidal insanity." ************************** EXCELLENT point! We will most likely significantly over-react here! Excessive airport security for everyone is an example. ALL terrorists so far have fit a "dark/brown profile." Strip searches of old white people are STUPID. We got conned into wasting BILLIONS on guvment airport security. As for schools, movie theaters, etc., if a psycho flips out, we CANNOT stop him-- and it is ALWAYS a male. This kid had heard that his CARING Mom would have him committed and he flipped. Banning guns or spending BILLIONS on school security would not stop this. He was simply a psychopath; Asperger's had nothing to do w/it.

Just to be 'picky',
The South Koreans and Japanese have had to put up with attacks from North Koreans that most would describe as "terrorist". And ditto the British from the IRA, and Spanish from ETA (Basques).
But you are mostly right ...

Everything seems SIMPLE to the Left...I first learned this while going to a very PC, liberal, "elite" university...funny thing, even @ 18 I was not seduced by their simple, PC answers.

As for mass killers, they CLEARLY are not going to follow normal patterns...that's why we call them psychotic! And some teachers "packing heat" will not likely stop them...certainly not EXPENSIVE security systems.

With a teacher packing, at least there would be a chance of stopping the psycho, without one, NO chance. Did you hear that a man got up to shoot people in a theater this last weekend and was shot and killed by an off-duty cop with her own personal gun?

So I’m reading this email teaser from National Journal’s Influence Alley called Spending Cuts Added to Plan B that says: “In a bid to win more support for Republican House Speaker John Boehner's Plan B to cut taxes for everyone but millionaires, GOP leaders are adding a second bill that would reduce the deficit and avoid the sequester, a GOP leadership aide told the Alley.”

So first I’m thinking “What tax cut?” Doesn’t a tax cut necessitate some sort of tax “cutting” action? The net result of the proposal is to increase taxes for some. If these guys worked on Wall...
