There is some debate below about crime and race, leading to ever-predictable, reflexive charges of "racism"...but facts become SUCH stubborn things. The why can be debated, but the data are cogent...the single greatest predictor of crime rates in an area is the percentage of the population which is black and Hispanic-- and we all KNOW this to be true. Even the Left ruefully concedes that the main reason the relative # of total violent crimes diminished in the late 90's was the millions of minority abortions resulting in fewer young adults to commit the crimes. Per the Census Bureau, Blacks account for 12.8% of the population, yet nearly 50% of all violent crimes are by blacks.

Blacks are seven times more likely to be in prison than whites. Hispanics are three times more likely.

Hispanics are 19 times more likely than whites to be members of youth gangs. Blacks are 15 times more likely

It isn't the race/skin color that is the determinant factor, though you might be for given for thinking so, it is the culture in which the persons in question were raised.

If one grows up in a culture that teaches you to shun education, hate everyone not like you and view life as a mere expendable commodity, one will be far more likely to have anti-social tendencies that lead to legal problems.

This is the usual PC drivel denial where we deny facts with vacuous black Africa, the # 1 cause of the spread of AIDS is unbridled rape...they are often simply low aptitude animals!

This is just UNBELIEVABLE racist cr*p. Usually I take time to identify the presumptions that are inherently racist, but there's so much wrong with this thread, I don't even know how to begin.

That Republicans ASSUME black people are all is the above, but then say, "I don't hate blacks, I just hate all of the above," simply reveals an underlying discriminatory animus. The bias is undeniable. If those are your beliefs, then those are your beliefs. At least recognize racism for what it is.

Bob Costas, an admitted ignoramus on the issue of the Second Amendment, chose halftime in a nationally broadcast football game to infect the world with his uneducated opinion on gun rights.

Speaking about Jovan Belcher, the NFL player who killed his girlfriend then committed suicide, Costas missed the point completely – as did the equally ignorant sports columnist Jason Whitlock. It wasn’t “loose gun laws” that sparked this tragedy. If anything, it had to do with how we treat celebrities.

Costas and Whitlock have the right to their opinions – and the Democrat Media Complex has the right to amplify...
