Bob Costas, an admitted ignoramus on the issue of the Second Amendment, chose halftime in a nationally broadcast football game to infect the world with his uneducated opinion on gun rights.
Speaking about Jovan Belcher, the NFL player who killed his girlfriend then committed suicide, Costas missed the point completely – as did the equally ignorant sports columnist Jason Whitlock. It wasn’t “loose gun laws” that sparked this tragedy. If anything, it had to do with how we treat celebrities.

If one grows up in a culture that teaches you to shun education, hate everyone not like you and view life as a mere expendable commodity, one will be far more likely to have anti-social tendencies that lead to legal problems.
That Republicans ASSUME black people are all is the above, but then say, "I don't hate blacks, I just hate all of the above," simply reveals an underlying discriminatory animus. The bias is undeniable. If those are your beliefs, then those are your beliefs. At least recognize racism for what it is.
