Oh, and yes, I'm white, but came from a working-class family (with strong morals and work-ethic). My parents (both mom and dad) held us all accountable and we all worked from an early age. ALL my siblings put themselves through college (on our own) and are now successful. Sure, we've all had some sorts of set-backs, but NONE of us relied on any public assistance.
