In response to:

From a “Glorious Burden” to an “Annual Burden,” Obama has Ruined His Presidency

I choose to remain an Independent as long as being a Christian and passing judgment on the morality of others are required credentials for joining the Republican Party or running on the Republican ticket. If you choose to kill unwanted babies in the womb, fine, don't expect me to pay for it. When you have children, expect the fathers to contribute to their up bringing and expect the government to enforce those payments monthly without eligibility requirements. If an adult chooses to purchase sex from an adult willing to provide sex, fine, regulate where those transactions can occur and the minimum conditions required (not in public please) Stop with the laws already. Expect ethics and character from elected officials, not religion.

Lita4, I hate to point out the inconsistency in your post, but when you are complaining about Republicans requiring one to be a Christian and passing judgment on the morality of others, are you not passing judgment on the morality of such Republicans? The reality is that we all pass judgment on the morality of others every time we decide whether or not we want to befriend one person but not another. After all, what is our rationale for rejecting one person and not the other? It is usually our consideration of their character which reflects their inner values, i.e. their morality. Everyone draws the line somewhere.

Thank you Pat2881. But you know all that ridiculous rational thinking will bring more liberal hate upon you. Ah, the price of clear headedness. Thanks.

Most Christians have left the GOP, so no worries for you there. The fact there are fewer Christians is reflected in the GOP cowardice.

So the Christians left the GOP, the atheists are clearly Dems, the Jewish vote is primarily for the Dems, and you have to believe the Muslim vote goes primarily for the Dems. How the hell does the GOP win anything?

Many conservatives vote GOP because they don't vote communist, but they are independent and will remain that way until the GOP embraces the Constitution.

Good so far!
"Expect ethics and character from elected officials, not religion."
BUT "and character from elected officials" hmmmm really lost me here.

The White House is trying to recast president Obama’s image- again. This time he's an eager reformer just trying to do away with all the red tape getting in the way of the economy.

Since the class warfare thing didn’t work, the Sandra Fluke thing alienated the very voters- Catholics- who provided Obama his margin of victory in 2008 and Americans are becoming disenchanted with a president who, honest-to-goodness, thinks everything is “fine”- except that taxes are too low- why not try casting Obama in a part wholly and utterly unbelievable?

Obama wants to be known as the president who cut...
