Furlough those who run and manage all of the support services for the active duty military, run ships, planes and tanks at higher tempos WITHOUT maintenance? Yeah...continuing to run my car without replacing/rotating tires and routine oil changes is a great idea! Way to save! Putting the people who are responsible for getting supplies and fuel to those in harm's way (while keeping them in harms way) is AWESOME. I beg to differ... the budget cuts are not on future increases an have current impacts. Or, is a 20% pay cut supposedly against some non-existent raise my husband is supposed to receive? Sequestration may NOT affect Fanny Mae, or the IRS in any real terms...it will affect the DoD and it's support agencies and contractors (contractors that were hired to do jobs at lower cost than the fed could do them, not just those building and researching new weapons programs) in real terms. While active duty military will not be furloughed, every civilian who supports them will. Tanks, ships and planes will not be maintained (you know, the equipment they have to use). The support equipment run and managed by civ mars will not be maintained.

When we claim to be pro-life, and then turn around and blast people who are less fortunate for having a child in circumstances that are less than ideal...when we strive for principles of lower government, but are unwilling to help others get back on their feet. This economy is hitting a lot of people hard. Obamacare is forcing more people out of full-time employment (read about Red Lobster/Olive Garden), which will leave them uninsured.... there are bigger problems we need to solve. Railing against a social program, without looking for and creating solutions is no better moral choice than supporting government programs.

Historically, the poor have relied upon children to help them in their old age...families are what people have relied upon. The caller was talking herself into circles, however the sentiment by these two clowns makes me want to spit nails. When you call someone irresponsible for having a child they "can't afford" -- you are essentially telling that person who finds themselves pregnant and in a difficult financial situation (which can happen in the MIDDLE of a pregnancy as often as before it), that their child should be aborted. According to the CDC, 49% of pregnancies are unplanned...instead of popping off about where this woman finds herself, show some empathy, and point her in a direction that his helpful, but perhaps that wouldn't be inflammatory enough.
