Where Have All the Ladies Gone?
In this play (written WELL before our feminist movement) Moliere mocks the rigid moral standards set upon the women of the time.
Yes, women may have a little freer sense of conscience than they did 30 years ago, but we did not suddenly learn how to break through society's standards.
I also believe that women should have high respect for themselves, but implementing rules doesn't always translate into self-esteem. The rules and code you live by has to come from within. I admire that you live by such a strict moral code. I, however, lack your discipline.
