Romney and others who are in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are part of that 80% who consider themselves Christian, even if they are not the exact same Christian because of the Nicene Creed. When the far right evangelicals put their foot down and stop attacking Mormons, that will be a first step in the right direction.

Mormonism is a false, man-made religion. It is a cult that denies the divinity of Jesus.
Most mormons are extremely nice people and good neighbors. There are some evangelicals who will only vote for Christians, but not enough to sway the election.

That will not sway many votes because of Mr. Obama's blatant attack on religious liberty.

This is the problem with some Christians...your Sunday School teacher and Pastor are preaching lies at the pulpit and it is so sad that you believe them. The LDS Church...The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints..doesn't deny the divinity of Jesus. Seriously where do you get this nonsense....Rose publishing? the godmakers? seriously where?

Never heard a pastor or SS teacher address the subject.
I base that on things that I have read by Mormons. They are not consistent, with some saying yes and some saying no. Those who say yes, often have caveats.

I had a friend who taught such a class and when my sister-in-law was baptised into her Baptist church my father-in-law told me the pastor preached the evils of Mormonism.... so Yeah it does happen.
What have you read? Seriously name the books, pamphlets, movies and who put them out?

I agree...It's been open season for the Christians, especially the EV's, to attack the LDS Church. It's so funny when they say they are being attacked... I live in Alabama and boy are they whiners. These Christians even have Sunday School classes that teach their so called truth about the Mormons. And there are some say that they absolutely will not vote for a Mormon.

Romney shouldn't have to defend his religion and the Republican Party should be putting an end to this bigotry in the party.... maybe then I'll start contributing.

What is wrong with people voting for those with similar beliefs and values?
Is it bigotry for a black person to vote for Mr. Obama because they are of the same race?
Is it bigotry for a democrat to vote for a person just because they are a democrat?

HAVE YOU EVER TAKEN THE TIME OR MADE THE EFFORT TO UNDERSTAND WHY MANY HISTORICAL, BIBLICAL CHRISTIANS CONSIDER MORMONISM A CULT? THEY HAVE GOOD REASON FOR THEIR CLAIMS AND IF YOU WILL TAKE TIME TO FIND OUT YOU WILL DISCOVER THAT GIVING AN OPINION BASED ON FACTS IS NOT BIGOTRY.

IS IT BIGOTRY TO SPEAK THE TRUTH?
twright Wrote: Apr 16, 2012 3:16 PM
I have taken the time to understand and when a Christian calls ANY religion a CULT it is blatant bigotry.

IT IS BIGOTRY TO SPEAK THE TRUTH WHEN YOUR TRUTH IS BASED ON GARBAGE!!!

Nothing is wrong with voting for someone who shares your political ideology...that's what is suppose to be done.
YES-It is bigotry for a black person to vote for Mr. Obama because he is of the same race...now if you are a black person voting for Mr. Obama to be the leader of black people..then there is no bigotry.

No-It is no bigotry for a democrat to vote for a democrat

When voting for the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES Americans should be voting on IDEOLOGY of the candidates not the RACE of the candidates

At what point in a nation where approximately 80% of the citizens identify themselves as "Christians" will Christian candidates defend themselves and their faith from the bigoted and deliberate smears of far-left journalists?

The latest attack comes courtesy of Time magazine. During an interview with Republican Gov. Nikki Haley of South Carolina, liberal editor Belinda Luscombe amazingly asks:

In New York City, which you're visiting for a couple of days, a lot of our taxi drivers are Sikhs. If you get one, are you going to give them a slightly bigger tip?"

Are you kidding me? Did this far-left "journalist" just...
