I was under the impression that McCain Feingold came about due to monies spent by George Soros.

Perhaps it is time to change it.

Soros won't like it, however. The Shadow Party - by Horowitz - covered the creation of this law quite completely. Perhaps Mr. Will should add this to his next article on the subject.

Last year you could go to the American Socialist Party site and click the link which brought you to the members of Congress who were members (how they could justify swearing to uphold the Constitution while the same time swearing allegiance to socialist principles boggles my mind!!). The link no longer exists. So, you won't be able to see Markey's name along with Larson, DiLauro, Waters, Waxman, Frank and Lee - all one step away from throwing our Constitution under the bus. You can still see some names if you go to the Dem. Progressive Caucus - Progressive and Socialists are the same. Both sites demand redistribution of wealth.

Please, everybody, call or email your Congressmen and women and point out your anger at them for not supporting a Democracy in action.

Moyers was the one who helped Soros pass the McCain Feingold act by hosting another one of his scripted dog and pony shows on the issue. He neglected to admit that his guests were all funded by an offshoot of one of Soros's groups.

He has done the same thing with healthcare. Again the shows are scripted - with pauses for laughs or video clips to be inserted. The guests are agenda driven - as usual.

If all of the commenters here would send their disapproval to both PBS and to Moyers show directly, you will feel better. I know I did. The man should have a disclaimer in front of each show admitting he is pushing his Socialist agenda and will say anything to get there. I also suggest a quick review of Saul Alinsky's...

Nathan, you neglected to say that Letterman told 2 -- that is TWO -- jokes about adult men having sex with a child. Besides the ARod joke, he also mentioned Spitzer - that Palin was tired of trying to keep Spitzer away from her daughter. Spitzer was caught with young prostitutes - were they @ 16? So, then, Palin's 18 year old daughter would have been TOO old for Spitzer's interest. That is why I never believed that Letterman actually told the truth when he said he meant the 18 year old - not the 14 year old. He has a staff which should have investigated the Palin's visit to NY. Could it also be that we have medical technology which tries to prevent more miscarriages - techniques which do not always work - in which case would result in a miscarriage in other countries (let nature take its course) - but we try to prevent the miscarriage - and fail to be 100% successful??? My sister-in-law had to stay in bed for 3 months after her 3rd miscarriage - in order to give birth. There are several medical procedures to be given to the fetus prior to delivery - some are successful yet some fail. I just don't think we can compare numbers without looking at the reasons for the numbers. To take more chances to bring about a live birth rather than a miscarriage certainly will raise the mortality rate if those chances fail....

Don't forget the teaching hospitals: add labs, staff, computer equipment, even the lowly lab rat, syringes, operating equipment, the cleaning and sterilization of these types of equipment, the cost of scientists, their staff, researchers, cost to publish findings, adds in the paper to announce findings or list a workshop, ambulances, the equipment in ambulances, the staff for ambulances, the meds, the oxygen, etc., the cost of visiting nurses, the cost of their transportation, the meds they give, the tests they take. What about the drug companies? The research to create a new drug, the staff needed to do the development, the cost of the lab, electricity and other utilities, the fact that trials are needed to prove first that the drug...
