And here we are again with the testing. I graduated in 1972, before a Department of Ed and long before NCLB. Every 2 years I took the Iowa Standard Test. I never lived in Iowa. I am a military brat. We all took this test all over the world. Not once were we "prepped" for this test. Hell, we weren't even notified until the day before when we were instucted to bring 2 new and sharpened #2 pencils to class the next day. No one screamed about how the test was discriminatory even though most of us were not familiar with city blocks, rural landscapes or even the trains leaving Chicago and LA at same time but traveling at different speeds.
