Forgive me if I sin differently than you do? Moderate your own actions to control the actions of others like the rest of us have to do. The gay marriage push isn't about equality but about power and all gays are now out in front making noise to achieve the power to try to legislate respect. When you feel anger, the other person's goal is power. Some bigots exist but the majority isn't but do want our rights. Go for the lesser power thing of gay unions and we can be separate but equal with less power-seeking generated hate IMO. Congress passed a defense of Marriage Act which is the law of the land. Must we be a lawless rabble? Gay unions would solve this issue, protect and defend both gay partner's and traditional marriage rights.
The Democratic mayors of Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. gave Mitt Romney and the Republican Party the greatest gift possible. They provided the American people with as clear an example of the unbridgeable differences between left and right, between Democrat and Republican, as could be hoped for.

And it was largely wasted.
