Why the surprise? My conservationism flows organically from my conservatism, which has always been about conserving what is good & what works, and a healthy environment is good. Field hardened may be distinct in a number of ways from the fevered armchair types who wear their allegiance, (especially on 'Earth Day") like some disposable plastic fashion accessory. For instance, very few of the latter have planted a single tree, let alone (about) half a million, as I have. Too much work. ..or made the effort to learn what % of the greenhouse effect is actually human caused. (About 1/4-1/3 of 1%) You've never heard of 'liberal guilt' or the Freudian Projection thereof? Thanks for engaging.

Never heard of 'em, eh? Are you suggesting libs & lefties have NOT generally rejected them? It is only a cornerstone of their house to do so, after all.

Good column. Again. I think many of these crusaders emptied their souls of meaning & purpose with the wholesale rejection of all things related to traditional values, only to refill the void with neo-pagan idolatry & with it, a compulsive need to project their own self-loathing, self (especially spiritually) polluted guilt upon the rest of us. In fact, a reliable recipe for cult and crusade-happy lemmings might be just that.. to empty of all allegiance to said values, refill said void with said idolatry & bake until well browned. Glaze with the best of intentions & serve with a side of patronizing self importance. ..and I'm a life-long, field-hardened conservationist, for the record. Thank-you.

Let’s Help Academia Destroy Itself

Well done. One way or another, we need to 'liberate' academia from the culturally-self-loathing who can neither 'coexist' with America nor 'resist' using their positions to subvert us from within if we are ever to arrest the awful damage this has done.

The Bigots Against Marriage Equality

We see it time & again: The left is compelled to attack & subvert to bring down without, what cannot be reconciled within the disordered world of the deviant. Family, marriage & religion, any institutions that preserve & pass along traditional values become targets of actual bigotry in an effort to assuage one's sense of guilt. The more disordered or contrary the behavior or world view, the more one may be compelled to attack what refutes it, the more the troubled among us will NEED us to be the demons THEY battle within, hence the endless accusations of hatred & bigotry. It is classic projection.

Here's the deal: It's just the responsible thing for parents & society to encourage what is optimal & discourage what is not, upon which, the facts of record are absolutely clear. Besides, an extreme minority does not get to redifine (molest) the foundational institutions of society & civilization just to feel better about their particular pet deviancies. THAT would be bigotry. I say extreme minority because not even a majority of the very small percentage of homosexuals in society actually want 'marriage', not that same sex marriage ever has or ever will be real marriage. --And if a majority of homosexuals don't even want such a commitment, then what is this really about? Subversion, & the more outspoken crusaders have admitted as much.
