Why We Were Surprised on November 6th?

"Americans want free stuff"? That is why you think Obama won? All Obama supporters are looking for a handout? Wrong . There are just as many Republicans on goverment assistance as Democrats, just as many white as black or hispanic, just as many RICH as poor. That is what "conservatives" don't understand. Right-wing media feeds YOU class warfare - convincing YOU that YOU are somehow "victims" of someone else - the illegals, the poor, the blacks...all out to "take" from YOU. Meanwhile your candidates fight to take more from YOU to give more to their wealthy donors. Wise up.

Well said. It is all scape-goating.

Tons? No, maybe one or two very misguided souls.

Okay, at least 100 Obama supporters don't want a handout.

Librtybell, you are the one who should wise up. Your statements are wrong and just an excuse for what is really happening in America. Obama won because the people that voted for him think they are entitled to the fruits of my labor.

I just want to be left alone. I make a living and taxes are taken out of my salary. These taxes should be paying for the national defense. BO and the State Dept could not even take care of 4 Americans in Benghazi to take care of them. Yet, BO is promising all thing to all people.

He is a fraud and YOU will suffer under his administration. On the other hand, I will survive because I have never needed anyone but myself to take care of myself.

Colleen63, your statements are 100% correct!

So that's why there's tons of Romney voters caught on tape gleefully screaming about how they got a free phone, or won't need to pay their bills or their mortgages?

Ok, I was wrong. I thought the Republicans would win the Presidency. I was not the only one. Smart people like Michael Barone and Karl Rove thought so also, in addition to people like Dick Morris. A knowledgeable friend called me the Saturday before the election and told me John McLaughlin, the pollster, just told him Romney wins it going away. So what happened?

First there is the big picture. I think there were three issues that hurt the Romney campaign along the way. The first is his turn to the right to win the primaries. My now politically-astute son asserted...
