The Truth About Guns

The illogic of the Gun Control Wackos boggles the mind. If a person has a mind to murder, he doesn't need a gun to do it. The 9/11 terrorists used box cutters to subdue passengers on the planes they crashed that killed 3,000 people. Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City Bomber didn;t use a gun to kill 168 innocent people and wound 800 more. He did his evil deed with a home-made pipe bomb. Weapons don't kill - bad people do.

Not a pipe bomb, liberty. McVeigh used 55 gallon drums of farm fertilizer and ammonia to blow up the federal building in Oklahoma city.

So liberty can you please tell us what we did to protect ourselves from further 9/11 attacks? Hmmm. A handful of guys from Saudi Arabia use box cutters to kill 3000 Americans and we create the massive Homeland Security Agency, go to war with Afghanistan then Iraq costing hundreds of thousands more lives and 4 Trillion dollars. But asking congress to enact simple common sense legislation to help curb guns and ammo from getting into the hands of future mass murderers is too much to ask?

You're RIGHT liberty, weapons don't kill people, weapon owners kill people.

liberal wimps get people killed.

so-called "common-sense legislation " does NOT keep guns out of criminals(or mass murderers) hands;it hasn't achieved that in ANY nation on Earth. Dunblaine,Port Arthur, and Norway mass murders occurred under those nations "strict gun control".

all it does is prevent people from defending themselves.

Wouldn't it make more sense to come up with legislation that would get or keep guns in the hands of people who would STOP mass murderers at their first or second victim, thereby preventing them from becoming "mass" murderers? Oh, wait, most states have already done that...

Yes, Robert, yes. You are right. Watch for the cat urine in the sand. Robert, stop eating that sand.

The tragedy in Aurora, Colorado, has led to a lot of unfortunate misinformation about firearms. Let's try to add some facts to the justified emotion.

Are Some Guns More Dangerous than Others? The shooter in Aurora had three firearms when he entered the theater: a pump action shotgun, a semiautomatic rifle and a semiautomatic handgun.

In a closed, crowded setting like a movie theater, the shotgun was probably the most lethal of the three. Every shotgun shell can spray a half-dozen or more pellets, each capable of killing or maiming a person. Twelve-gauge shotguns often fire five shells, and...
