The reason that the labor force hasn't declined even more than it has is simple. Since 2010 more states are led by Republican govermors who know how to grow the private sector that creates jobs. Left to Obama and the Democrats, the economy is a disaster.

The reason unemployment isin't higher is that after enough months of being unemployed, they no longer count you. Likewise, if you are on unemployment, you are no longer counted. Real unemployment is still upwards of 15%.
