You want to know why any leader of any country would want to intentionally destroy his own economy?

Have you ever heard of the Cloward-Piven Strategy?

Your seconds calculation is right but the 145000 should be days, which is about 397 years.

What I find humorous is how many of these doomsayers refer to themselves as Global Warming "Advocates." Shouldn't they be "Opponents?"

Contrarily, while I don't buy their claims of AGW, I truly am a Global Warming "Advocate."

Bring it on. Far better than having a mile of ice over my head.

With all due respect, I must challenge your 600,000 years comment.

We have been in and Ice Age for about 2 million years. During that time there have been numerous advances and retreats. The periods of ice generally last around 80,000 to 120,000 years. With each retreat, we have a relatively short, 10,000 to 15,000 year interglacial period. This latest interglacial is now about 10,000 to 12,000 years old.

Interestingly, many "scientists" assume the current interglacial will last about 28,000 years because that's how long it lasted about 600,000 years ago. They say circumstances now are similar to then, ergo we'll have a similar experience.

Personally, I'd rather we create a Glacial Abatement Team than waste all this...
This sort of study is not an aberration, it is the norm. I have looked at uncountable studies that present results for which the data do not support.

Further, most of what are called scientific studies these days are simply a review of previous data gathered, without questioning the methodology of the previously gathered data.

In short, most of what is reported is agenda-driven and non-verifiable because it's just one flawed study verifying a previous flawed study.

Everyone is just reading and quoting the same book.

It occurs to me that it is almost time for Mardi Gras. What do you do for mardi gras? I've been thinking of maybe going down this year. If I do, I think I'd like to meet you. What do you think?
I am fascinated by them, while at the same time I believe they are not conducive to an egalitarian elevation of the lower classes.

What do you know of the Rothschilds?
