I wasn't making a policy argument, or suggesting any particular cuts. My point is that drastic spending cuts will happen due to fiscal reality, i.e., the capacity of our government (and many others) to continue deficit spending will dry up in the near future. The only questions are when and what will happen at that point.

For the Dems, economic statistics are just political talking points. When they want to blame Republicans, they root for a bad economy. When they want to support Dems, they root for a good economy. Those of us who are responsible for paying the bills don't have that luxury.
