The GOP has been taken over by Authoritarians pretending to be Conservative, all the while pushing us away from the Constitution just as quickly as the Liberal half of the DemoPublican Party. So long as Authoritarians remain in these Parties, NEITHER will be of service to the People, either of CA OR of the US.

I agree -- except that the GOP has ALWAYS been ruled by authoritarians. Since the days of Lincoln, the GOP has always wanted to use the authority of the government to oppress. The entire point of the GOP has always been to take from the taxpayer and pass along the ill-gotten gains to their cronies in business.
