BREAKING: John Bolton Endorses...

I can see a lot of people have bought into the lie that a vote for Romney is a vote for the better. On some of the most critical issues (govt spending, auditing and killing the power of the Fed, endless wars, bailouts, cronyism, etc) they are the same and those of you that support him will be sorely disappointed just like Obama supporters were. Goldman Sachs and crew are financing both so it is irrelevant who wins between them. The corrupt corporations will ultimately win either way.

Ron Paul and Israel

Forgot to mention that just because America does not give money directly to Iran does not mean the money cannot find its way to Hamas and Hezbollah from the other surrounding states. Saudi Arabia for all we now may be part of the scam. Wars drive the price of oil up which benefits oils companies and oil producing countries like Saudi Arabia.

Wrong Andy. The flow of Iranian arms is obviously not affected but when you remove the billions of American money out of the equation, the power of the Arabs is drastically reduced, unless you want to claim that Iran send arms worth more than the ones bought by American money. Secondly, Israel can very easily end this war within weeks if they went for an all out assault on the Arabs but they cannot because the military-industrial complex will lobby government to stop Israel since they make more money if the wars are sustained. Why do you think the govt sends $3billion to Israel annually?

Ron Paul and Israel

Mr Brown, it is clear you still have pre-conceived ideas and you are now engaging in demagoguery. As a doctor and Christian, Paul is generally sympathetic to any people that suffer due to unnecessary wars. That does not mean he sides with them which is what you are dishonestly implying. America gives more money to Israel's enemies than Israel. How do you expect the fighting to end if America is arming both sides and selling them weapons? Your attempt to paint Israel as an innocent victim is disingenuous. RP would cut aid to the Arabs and they would not be able to bomb Israel easily. Israel would negotiate with them without pressure from America.
PART 2 They also say youth support him because they just want to smoke pot. If someone disrespected you in that way, how would you react? If you don't believe me, find any article that argues rationally against Ron Paul's positions (not the newsletter or bigot nonsense) without disrespecting him or his supporters and read for yourself how the responses are. I hope you give an update on your article in light of some of the answers you get from his supporters.
PART 1 Your article raised very good questions. It is true there are some very bad Ron Paul supporters but my own experience reading comments on many thousands of articles shows that his supporters are generally polite, well informed and do their best to persuade. Anyone who raises rational arguments against Ron Paul's policies is treated with respect in the replies. However, the ugly truth is that the majority of articles on Ron Paul written by the corrupt media are ad hominem attacks. They disrespect him by calling him insane, marginalize him and never actually address any of his arguments but just dismiss them as crazy. By extension, the media are therefore saying his supporters are kooky, nuts, and crazy for supporting him.

Why 80% Reject Paul and Romney

Kevin has also forgotten that America has the highest incarceration rate in the developed world, a lot of it for mere possession of pot. Millions of young black youth over many decades have had their future ruined after being in jail where they learn to become criminals or end up on welfare. More people are addicted to prescription drugs and more people die from alcohol related deaths than hard drugs. Of course facts are irrelevant to Kevin.

"No one can argue with the logic that seems to elude Dr. Ron Paul on the simple concept of dangerous narcotics and making access easier for them." Kevin apparently lives under a rock and does not know that hard drugs are oftentimes easier to obtain than alcohol, even for young kids. He seems to have forgotten what happened during prohibition era in the 20s. He also does not realize that marijuana is freely available in Amsterdam but there are no terrible effects in their society.

Republican Voters' Choices

Dr Sowell is a very smart man but I vehemently disagree with him in his assessment of Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul. Why would anyone want to put in office a man who is demonstrably corrupt and whose word means nothing? Newt's achievements are laudable but he fully supported the bailouts which were basically theft and he changes positions based on who is paying him. Nothing will change since the same corrupt businessmen who backed Bush/Obama will back Gingrich. Ron on the other hand is incorruptible as any lobbyist will tell you. Iran is overblown, just like Iraq. Did Sowell support the Iraq war?
You are partially right but don't forget that RP voted for the authority to go get Bin Laden and crew. But if he had been president in 2001, he would have instead pushed for the granting of Letters of Marque and Reprisal against OBL. He tried as congressman but was ignored. Infact, it would have been a whole lot cheaper to just bribe the Taliban with a hundred million Dollars to give up Osama.
