Not a big poster here, but I get a kick out of the poseurs. Folks, when someone says "I have a law degree" it means they are *not* a lawyer - it is easier to say that if they *are* an attorney! I know many, many people with law degrees who never pass a State Bar Exam or practice law - and that says a lot about their understanding of the law.

It is not a crime (under most conditions) to claim (falsely) that you have gone to law school or have a JD. It *is* a crime to represent yourself to be a lawyer when you are not. Most poseurs are not willing to go so far as expose themselves to prosecution for their forum comments...

Let's agree that your claims about affordable electric cars are true, the next question (which idealogues who press a position and claim "scientific" understanding often miss) is - where do we get the electricity for these wunderkars? Most electricity in this country comes from some form of fossil fuel generation - almost half comes from - awk! - burning coal. "Renewable" forms of energy production account for about 3% of electricity generation in the US. Perhaps you believe that electricity magically appears in your garage outlets without a carbon footprint, but that is false. The commercials strike me the same way - what in the Constitution says the Census is about getting a "fair share" or any share at all? This point was driven home yeaterday at a karate tournament with my 12-yo. Two local pols said brief words of welcome, both hitting the need for sending in Census form. One said, "Would you like $12,000? Well, send it in and we get $12,000 to spend on you." I wanted to ask that pol 1) where does the $12k come from - Obama's stash? and 2) when can I expect the check? It wouldn't come close to refunding my taxes, but it would be appreciated. And think of how the private sector would grow based upon my spending that $12k! I'm so excited...
