Bill O’Reilly: Nowhere Man

O'Reilly is wrong about "Bible thumping." Scripture IS a valid argument. It will not convince many non-believers, but what argument would? Any real debater (O'Reilly is a pontificator, not a debater) knows you do not discard valid arguments just to pander to those who will not embrace such points of view.

Quoting Scripture may not convince atheists, but many theists need the intellectual reinforcement. Then there are the "apatheists" who need new information to consider.

Over the years we have made Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly a lot of money. We bought into his carefully-crafted persona as a populist champion of traditional values with his top-rated Fox News show, as well as best-selling books like Who’s Looking out for You and Culture Warrior.

However, recently the house of cards that is O’Reilly’s iffy worldview has shown signs of collapsing.
